Public Consultation and Policy Reform

Work Package 7 focuses on shaping new policy recommendations while establishing a strong communication framework between project partners and stakeholders to support essential policy reforms. The aim is to engage formal bodies in continuous dialogue, leading to more informed decision-making—particularly concerning the role of women in agriculture.
To achieve these goals, the project developed targeted policy proposals and carried out extensive stakeholder consultations at both national and European levels.

Policy Development

Based on findings from WP2, the team created policy reform proposals outlining key actors, responsibilities, timelines, and budgets. In parallel, formal dialogue channels were established with relevant institutions and authorities to ensure the proposed reforms are considered and implemented.

Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation

  • National Level
Each project partner compiled a list of national stakeholders—including local authorities, trade unions, and organizations in agriculture, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment. Partners conducted interviews to gather insights into the national context. The collected data was analysed and compared across participating countries.

  • European Level
A similar process was followed at the European level. Copa-Cogeca, the largest organization representing european farmers and agricultural cooperatives in Europe, and leader of WP7, identified key EU stakeholders, conducted interviews, and analysed the broader landscape of women agripreneurs. European findings were then compared with national insights to identify common challenges and opportunities.

This process led to the creation of evidence-based, shared policy recommendations aimed at promoting and supporting women in agriculture across Europe. Additionally, WP7 helped build sustainable dialogue channels between national and European actors, reinforcing long-term policy reform efforts.
